if you ever see one, you will be a believer. if the government tries to keep their existence a secret, there must be something to it.

The first part of your question is asking for an opinion. Every person has an opinion on almost every subject you can think of. This particular question gets asked almost daily. The answers are moot and yahoo should have designed their 'search for similar question' bar so that it was more noticeable to avoid such an annoying repetition.

The answer to the second part of your question is science fiction. Movie makers can make aliens in any shape and manner they wish. Since their intention is to entertain the public, they do not need to rely on what a true alien may or may not actually be like. Hence the term 'fiction'. This is not only done with motion pictures. It is and has been done in science fiction books as well. Books were the forerunners of movies. Before that, people sat around and made up stories to scare or entertain their listeners. When you are telling or writing a fictional story, your only limit is your imagination. Learn to seperate fiction from fact.

Some believe Science Fiction (some of which is somewhat based upon facts), and that aliens could have a "warp drive" or harness the power of wormholes (anomalies that "bend" space). They could in fact travel faster than light. A hundred years ago, people believed that going faster than the speed of sound was impossible, but now we have supersonic jets. Ever hear of the Dragon's Triangle? Kinda east of japan... anyway, a while back (I forgot the exact years) a ship supposedly sighted a UFO coming out of the water! It is possible that we may be sharing the world with sentient aquatic beings, because isn't a Jellyfish a more simple type of life than a human? The people who go on TV saying they were "abducted" by aliens are probably crazy, like you say. But the ones with the far-fetched ideas that make sense 50 years later (Tesla?) definitely have something odd with them.

I believe in micro-organisms in outer space, but not in short green people with big black eyes (aliens). As for UFO's (I watched the shows on the history channel, really strange) I don't know what to believe.

I think that there has to life out there somewhere. Why would earth be the only thing in all of space that has life on it? But I don't know about the ufo's and why they are always pictured a certain way.

I look at this way... If there's other civilizations out there, then chances are 50/50 they're more advanced than we are. We're able to see planets orbiting other stars, and we're working on ways to look for Earth-like planets around other stars - they can probably already do that, if they're more advanced than we are.

There may be beings out there aware that Earth exists, and may even be aware of Man (our first radio signals are out to about 80 light years now; so any beings within 80 light years of Earth could, conceivably, be aware we're here.)

But... VISITING....? I wouldn't say no to the possibility, but.... at least for US, it would be a nearly impossible effort.

I believe we arent the only intelligent life in the universe( some of us arent really that intelligent.) As to whether or not they have come here is another question.

Yes there are plenty of unidentified flying objects seen every day. I have not seen or heard anything that would prove the existence of ET's

Whatthehell are you talking about?

Hollywood rules your intelligence. UFO's are UNIDENTIFIED.

Aliens are likely in the cosmos because of the immense odds that intelligent life can spring up elsewhere, and there are, after all, 100-200 billion stars in our own Milky Way galaxy. But, due to the immense distances between, it is highly, highly unlikely that they have visited us, yet. So, subdue that runaway imagination and screw your head back down firmly on your shoulders.

I believe that there is other complex life out there. I believe that it's almost unquestionable, after all, the Universe is huge and there is undoubtedly lots of habitable planets out there.
