The song was written and sung by Buddy Miles who was a solo artist and a drummer in the 60's band Electric Flag and also Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys. There is a version on it on the Band of Gypsys album, which has been reissued as "Live at the Filmore" or something like that. Buddy Miles sings and plays drums on that version. However, the best version is on Buddy Miles' own solo album. It's going to be hard to find but you could probably download it on Limewire or iTunes.
