I absolutely agree...and will add, a sense of humor far surpasses health and wealth...or whatever else you want, need, have or desire!
My husband is chronically ill. In the past two years we've come close to losing him twice....but, he kept on laughing, joking. Visiting his bedside was like going to a comedy club. I truly believe that if it weren't for his sense of humor, he'd long ago have left us. It keeps all of us stress free, and sane!
I only wish I had a quarter of his sense of humor!

Unless, of course, your health problem includes mental problems that diminshes all possibilities of any sense of humor.
But if you can still think, yes. Humor away.
What fun is having health if it is going to be boring because you can't enjoy it, your lack of humor gets in the way and you're all sad?
It isn't fun.
I totally agree.
We all need to unleash the inner comedian within, to reveal the true meaning of life:
enjoying it.

Oh, I agree completely.
I would have thrown myself off of a water tower years ago if it weren't for my sense of humor. Ye gods, look at all the people we encounter every day that don't have one.
It's one thing to take THINGS seriously -- that is the proper way to deal with life, such as fulfilling obligations. But it's another thing entirely to take LIFE seriously, meaning to just be serious and dour -- you know, generally "put upon" round-the-clock. I really do pity people like that. Poor sots...

I thought a sense of humour was the main ingredient in the health cookie! Take one everyday and be healthy. Forget to take it and oops, you're sick.
I know they said it was the apple but I think it is really the sense of humour, stirred into the funniest yolk, whipped up with sweet taffy and simmered into bubbles of frothy delight, brimming with gurgling chortles. Ahhh. Not to forget the tittering teehees on top.

Agree!
Having "a sense of humor" could possibly be one of the most important ingredients to maintaining good health.
Look around you.....see proof?

Laughter is good for your health - studies have been done in hospitals as far back as the 60's.

It is easier to be humorous when you "have health". So, yeah, health IS everything...it heralds only good.
