yes, the northern and southern hemispheres have opposite seasons.

Tilt of the earth's axis and the revolution of the earth around the sun makes the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere have opposite seasons.USA lies in the northern hemisphere and Australia lies in the southern hemisphere.America's summer means Australia's winter.

Yes, it's true. When it's summer in the northern hemisphere it's winter in the southern hemisphere and vice versa. I'm not sure why it works that way, but it does.

Yep.America is in the northern hemisphere,while Australia is in the southern hemisphere...In fact...Australia doesn't have much of a winter...I hear people eat ice-crem there in winter:Dlol...

yep. the earth is titlted. when we're tilted towards the sun, that means australia, which is on the other end of the globe, has to be tilted away from it. so it's summer here, and winter there. :)
