Any woman would tell you that it actually does exist, and is extremely painful. Think about it, some women spend thousands of dollars on drugs to help control their PMS. It's not just mood swings it's pain, headache, bloating, gass. Estrogen is at an extreme low and it actually does cause mood swings. Seriously sometimes i get so angry when i'm having it that i just want to tear someone's head off over the littlest things. The only time it gets better is when I realize that i'm having PMS.

It isn't an excuse. We may be irrational at certain times during the month, but that doesn't make it an excuse. It is a truly miserable time of the month. I guess some guys are to ignorant to understand.

Whatever you want to call it PMS or just plain B**tchy , there are certain times of the month associated directly with a woman's cycle that she just plain doesn't feel good and not like herself!
My poor husband has this thing down pat - I get a "little" testy, then I just don't feel good physically, and then finally I feel sorry for myself and cry. Then it's over and I'm good for another 3 weeks! He has learned just to stay out of my way at first and then to comfort me when I feel bad. He's a survivor!

Sometimes it's not just PMS, there are other medical concerns that cause a lot of problems for women. I have debilitating pain that I've actually had SURGERY for TWICE in the last 5 years.
Just because you can't understand the concept, doesn't make it any less real.

I actually have PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), which is a very severe form of PMS that is debilitating. I was suicidal every month. Thankfully I'm on Yaz and it has helped relieve some of it.
It's not "just an excuse", trust me.

I don't believe in PMS. People think.. Ohh I don't feel good, I can use PMS as an excuse. I have never had it. But
Cramps, and bloating do really exist, so buy your women some Advil..
Good Luck

It does actually exist. I don't remember the specific scientific explanation, but the short version is that at the specified time, chemicals are released into the body that affect moods.

It's not an excuse and it's not like the sufferer can help it either. You think it's bad dealing with someone that's PMSing? Try having it.

How would you know? You're a guy not a girl.
It's the shifting hormones before or after a woman's menstrual cycle; this leads to mood swings because they are moving up and down until they settle into their normal levels.
If you had a girlfriend, you'd all ready know this.
