Dont even get me started on the worrying. I was terrified with my first, not about having a baby cuz i knew i wanted him but about losing him. I can relate entirely. In fact i worried about miscarriage and birth defects and all of that constantly right about until the time that he was born. He came 5 weeks early and is so far ahead developmentally even for being preemie. Not to mention he is the most beautiful baby i have ever seen. Dont worry but even more dont worry about worrying...its totally natural. Best of wishes with your soon to be new arrival.

Totally normal. I felt scared all the time until I felt her move a lot. Then, I started worrying about the birth process. That's the way these things go. I think the worry is probably a good sign. There are some hormonal influences on that worry and the more messed up your hormones are, the better chance the pregnancy has.

I feel the same way you do! I'm about 6 weeks along and I have taken four prenancy tests all of which came up positive! My husband and I are estatic!! I called to schedule my first prenatal visit and they said the baby had to be at least ten weeks so that pushed me to Aug. 27th. So I haven't had any symptoms and I am paranoid! Like am I really pregnant? Could I be losing it b/c I have no symptoms? It's crazy but I can't help some of these thoughts. I have spoken with other women who tell me I'm fine the babys fine and it will all be ok but I guess being a first time mother we think of any and everything!! But be it normal or paranoid I'm in the same boat with you. Congrats!!! and Good luck!!!

yea i know the feeling. I just found out i was pregnant 2 weeks ago. it wasnt planned, but me and my boyfriend have excepted it and are excited. But i am afarid something will happen too. I already had one small scare. I would suggest not getting an ultrasound now, untill you are further into your pregnancy. b/c if you go to early, they wont see anything. They will tell you you are either too early or you are having an ectopic pregnancy. I went to get an ultrasound at 6 weeks and they couldnt find anything and thats what they told me. Ectopic pregnancy is very scary and dangerous. They made me do bloodwork to see if my levels were rising. They were. So i would just suggest not going so early. Go later in the pregnancy when you know you should be far along to see something in the ultrasound. b/c they is no reason to be scared like i was if you do have to be. congrats. and good luck.

This is just the beginning of your worries to come. Your worry free days are all over now. It's completely normal to worry about everything when your pregnant, just don't be excessive with it, that baby can feel every thing you go through and worry is stress on the baby.....Worry is pointless....
Simply enjoy this amazing journey you are about to take.....Once your child arrives the worry intensifies it's a whole other variety of worries.......Remember worry is pointless all it does is add stress which you certainly don't need.......
Congratulations and God Bless!

It's normal to feel scared hon. It is a big thing to happen in both your lives. You just take for granted that having a baby is no big deal until it's you, then it's a huge deal lol. It will pass, talk to your doctor. Ask him what the signs of a healthy pregnancy are. Try to calm down, stress is bad for you. Good luck and god bless.

It is normal to worry. I still worry sometimes and I'm 17.5 weeks. Once you get past the 12 week mark, miscarriages are less common. The worry pretty much subsides after that. Don't stress yourself out too much, congrats on being pregnant!

I feel the exact same way. I am scared at the slightest little thing that happens. I am only a month and half along and my doctor is probably already going crazy. This baby will be the most important thing in your life so I think its normal. I keep trying to tell myself that too.

well, im almost 14 weeks and still worry, but its not good for the baby for you too worry as much as you do, your body needs sleep. nature is going to take its course and sadly theres nothing we can do about it if we are going to miscarry, just keep yourself heathly and pray that everything will be ok..
good luck and congrats
