i guess it's because they lose so well, when the lost there 10,000th there was nowhere i'd rather have been. It could be hometown pride.

Ya philly is a rathole, but i'm from west chester. Hmm that doesn't make things better does it. Philly's got character though, and most people there are NOT fat, the population of fat people is steadily decreasing as the crime rate rises. philly's got twice the culture than like 95 % of the other city's in the us.

Sometimes it's not so easy, but it was very easy July 8th this season.
It started to rain in Denver with some very strong winds. As the Rockies' grounds crew struggled to get the tarp on the field, the entire Phillies bench (players, coaches, even the guys who were injured) came out and helped the Rockies crew not only get the tarp on the field, but made sure no one was hurt.
Maybe they aren't the best team, but how many teams today would do something like that?

Losing all those games is a great accomplishment, but your Phillies aren't even the worst team in the state. Those losses are spread out over so many years. Try and be under .500 for 15 consecutive seasons. That's a streak.
