tom glavine 300 Wins is more impressive than Bonds getting to 755 with a little help (cough cough)

I'm more impressed with Glavine's "300" than Bonds 755. For as I know, Glavine has not been under scrutiny about steriods and has been one of the most consistent players in recent history. I was sad to see him leave Atlanta for NY, but he remains one of my favorites of all time.

Glavine and Bonds shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence let alone more impressive. As far as it goes you already know the answer is Bonds!

Even though Bonds took sterioids, Bonds feat is mroe impressive.

He is olny the 2nd hitter to have 750+ home runs.

Tom Glavine is the 23rd pitcher to win 300 games.

Although Glavine did it WITHOUT sterioids.

Bonds. Steroids or not I would like to see 90% of players who make it to the big leagues play for as many years and still be able to hit 20+ homeruns at the age of 43. It takes more than a supposed few years of roid use to be able to have a 20+ year career and to hit 700+ HR's. Before the accusations Bonds was already in the HOF and the HR record just adds to it.

Glavine getting 300 is a huge feat, but more people have done that than the number of people hitting even 500 HR's.

Bonds...I don't care how he did it, he's one of only 3 people to get to 700 HRs.

Glavine will be the 23rd to 300

There aren't even 23 players to hit 500 homeruns.

Bonds 7 MVP awards is most impressive. No one else has more than three. 500 HR is losing credence as a benchmark. Thome, Manny, Sheffield are closing fast, Thomas and ARod already this year. The 600+ HR club with only five members is already permanently tainted. 300 pitching wins will be a much harder fraternity to join.

in an era filled with steroid suspicions and rising power numbers at the plate, id have to go with glavine. 755 home runs is a much higher plateau, as it has only been reached once (soon to be twice), however, if bonds used steroids, it would be very difficult to respect him; he cheated the game and himself. glavine has pitched through this era, facing many of the players accused of using steroids, and was still able to reach 300 career wins, a milestone which doubtably will ever be reached again (the closest is randy johnson who needs 16 more wins, but will he even get 16 more starts at the rate hes going with injury and age?). my answer is glavine

I'm much more impressed with Glavine because Bonds used steroids for most of his career, and Glavine is just a great player.

Bonds is dirty. The little bastard cheated! Glavine is going to be the last pitcher to win 300 games.
