why do people have baloons hanging from the bottom of their pickup trucks?

They are celebrating some occasion. A wedding, a ball game, or some other thing.

Well, I can't see the link, but if your talking about something hanging from a hitch in the back, and it's what I'm picturing, I don't think they're balloons. They are probably fake balls (as in testicles). You can get them in gag gift places (ie. Spencers). Alternatively, leftover from a wedding/celebration?

Those aren't balloons; those are plastic testicles, but I agree; it's absolutely ridiculous! I don't know why one would hang those from their trucks to celebrate something, but it's got to hurt when they go over a curb and those balls hit the curb.
oj, they *are* fake balls, and to see the images people put on their MySpaces, you have to be a MySpace member.
