My bf and I live in a trailer park where there have been major drug deals & a kid recently died from the drug cheese. Ever since then, the cops have been sitting outside the trailer park & pulling EVERYONE over even though theyre not doing anything wrong. Even before this, the same cop has gone to extremes to pull anyone from our house over. On July 4, he pulled us over for the dealership frame around my license plates. He said they’re illegal. A few days ago, the same cop was sitting on our street talking to our neighbor, and my bf drove by them, and my neighbor said the cop goes “oh! there goes one of the people I have to pull over!!” we’ve gotten pulled over 5 times in the last 2 months by the same cop. every time we get pulled over, he searches my car, and totally trashes everything, then lets us go, because of course were not doing anything wrong. if we get pulled over again, my bf wants to file a complaint against the officer. what else can we do to make sure he gets in trouble?

Refuse to let the cop search the car. Make him get a search warrant. Go see an attorney ASAP. What he is doing does indeed sound like harassment, among other things. I also suggest that you call a local TV station and tell them about it.

I'd speak to an attorney as well as file a complaint with the State. This is flat out harrassment and you shouldn't have to deal with it. Make sure you keep a record of how many times this cop pulls you over and is seen sitting outside of your house.

Whenever he pulls you over, ask what his cause is for search. If he doesn't have reasonable cause don't consent to the search and he'll have to go thru another route to get into your vehicle. Call and file a complaint with his supervisor.

File not only a police report every time he does this, but get ahold of your local chapter of the ACLU. I don't like alot of what the ACLU does, but they are usually pretty good with this stuff. I would suggest doing this today, these people aren't going to stop.

definatly file a complaint now dont wiat and the police officer has now right to search your car unless he has probable cause to suspect that there are drugs or weapons in your car. from what you say he does not and therefor he is illegally searching your car

He is not allowed to search your car with out probable cause unless you give your okay. when he asks if he can search your car say no. If he searches it without asking file a federal lawsuit. Infringemnt on your civil liberties, unlawful search.

Be friendly with the cop so he doesn't pull you over. It sounds like your neighborhood needs the law.
