Sure...These thugs will stop at nothing nor do they have any compassion or morals as far as any tragedy to further their intentions. Even now they count profits while our young men and women die. They never have, don't now, or ever will, have any consideration for anyone individually or collectively if they can feed their own greed and hypocrisy. Let the records speak for themselves if you wish to challenge this. Theirs is the party of shame for they have contributed to war, wars, and warmongering worldwide to support the Agenda of Corporate America and Big Business. Any one who thinks they didn't knowingly and willingly dupe the American people into a quagmire is mentally sick, morally challenged, and pathetically naive.

I have to agree with some others that it would be self defeating for the Republicans to do it right now. It would cut the legs out from under the "Send Americans to Iraq, so the ragheads don't have to come all the way over here to kill us," Strategy that's the Centerpiece and only fully funded part of the Republican National Security plan.
But, it's not like anyone in the White House gives a damn about the Party. It'll happen when Rove and Cheney feel the time is right for a coup. I'm expecting it to happen closer to the elections, as an excuse to suspend elections. And I'm counting on the Agency Republicans love to hate--the FBI to foil it.
As to the Republitrolls who keep pointing to Congress' low ratings--when has Congress ever NOT had low ratings? Republican Presidential candidates are every one of them showing poorly against even the least of the Democratic contenders. Stop trying to convince everybody that apples are oranges why don't ya?
But, I guess you had to find some talking point after getting slapped down for comparing the heroic sacrifices of our troops to highway deaths and gangbangers killing each other, as a way of trivializing combat losses.

Experiencing a transference episode here? No real American would want that. I can't speak for all conservatives, but I would sooner see every seat in the house and senate, and the Presidency fall to the Democrats before wishing a single American life lost. What does it say about you that you think in those terms though?

No one wants anything like that again. It would do no one any good. Both sides could have their spin, of course, but in the end we would all be the worse off for it.

I don't assume anyone would want such an event.. just like I don't assume Democrats want us to lose in Iraq.. and I'm assuming that is why you are asking this.. as a comparison.

Totally the opposite!! The Dems want another national tragedy so they can say "see, the Republicans can't save you" or "the war on terror isn't working" General rule of thumb-"If it's bad for the country it's good for the Democrats"

It saddens me to have to answer yes.
The leaders of the USA both democrat and republican have made it their policy to create new enemies to scare the American people into compliance.
