i have an emachines t6520. i replaced the power supply from 300w to 550w with a 120mm fan. i also replaced the rear fan from 80mm to 120mm. the only other fan is for the cpu.

i have 1gb of ram, amd 3400+. i know the computers not too great, but i got it before i started gaming.

so, wil the card fit, and will it overheat? i want the evga 320mb version, no overclocking will be done.

As long as there's room for a double-wide card in the PCI-E x16 video slot- I have the 8800GTS 320mb myself. That card does generate a lot of heat, but it's onboard fan should be fine at stock speed.

From the picture of the T6520, it looks like the tower case should be large enough. Hopefully it has decent airflow.

There is no such thing as 320mb. There is 256 and 512. What buss does your emachines have AGP or PCI-E. Taking a shot in the dark I'm betting it only has AGP and I'm almost positive the 8800GTS is PCI-E (just checked it is). I highly doubt your emachines has an PCI-E buss. You'll have to look for a video card with an AGP buss.

1 thing.

PCI-E- Peripheral Component Interconnect - Express
PCI-X - Peripheral Component Interconnect - Extended

They are two totally different things.

the 8800gts 'should' should fit in the pci-x slot (cant remember if the 8800gts is an extra long card , but you should be able to work any wiring around to accomodate it).. and with the fan upgrades, should stay nice and cool

you'll be fine PSU wise ,just make sure you have a PCIe slot and you should be good to go. the thing gets really hot so be careful with cooling.
