I dislike Bush and his policies as much as the next person but really, the damage has been done. Impeaching him now would achieve nothing and would only further polarize people. If people really wanted Bush impeached they should have started working on it back in about 2004-2005.
Please, conservatives, don't leave obnoxious comments about how I am a "Liberal communist" I am a moderate, moderate is far enough away from right-wing propaganda to tell that Bush may be the worst president in history, there are even some conservatives who agree.
Please, liberals, no comments degrading conservatives, Bush is a bad president but it's not entirely their fault. Everyone who is answering, just try to get along.
Politics doesn't happen when two groups of people take extreme views and scream at each other, that sort of thing causes civil wars. What we all need to do is sit and talk and take each other seriously.

They impeached Clinton in record time for rediculous reasons compared to what Bush should have coming to him. However I doubt an impeachment will happen. I believe they will let him stay in power, so that when his term is over they can put him in front of the world courts where they can find him guilty of several offenses and put him to death for pulling this stunt. There were channels he should have gone thru and didn't. He can't take the world into his own hands like this, and that is exactly what he has done. Now he insists on hiding information every chance he gets. That is not the moves of a repectable president. These are the moves of a rogue dictator. I do thank the asker for being impartial and respectful. This is how open discussions work well.

Some probably want it to further erode the GOP but most people who actually understand the process don't want to see an impeachment because your right it would take the majority of the time he has left in office which would accomplish nothing, would never pass in the senate anyway because there are too many republicans who would torpedo it, and if it did somehow pass it would put Cheney in charge of the country who is arguably even scarier then Bush.
It's a non-issue

Because they can do it. and maybe they should the way that experiments are going on children of all ages in America because they can no longer experiment on animals, this is being done in a big way while, Mrs Bush goes to Africa and begs people to help there, all that is well an good but what about the children in foster care and orphans in America being killed, cremated and buried in mass unmarked graves, do to these experiments killing children taken by DCFS, which is a cover up and a money making scam in America.

He's guilty of crimes against humanity and you want to give him a pass for fear that impeaching him would deepen the divide in America.
Impeach him. It's time for a brawl. At least that would be more honest than all the garbage tactics that are in play now.

Why are so many people wanting to impeach Bush now?
Mostly ignorance. Either they (1) wrongly believe some impeachable offense was committed, or (2) they don't care about whether an impeachable offense was committed, they just want to 'get' Bush
Either way, they're idiots!

Mostly because they are unhappy -- which is not a valid reason.
Some of us have been seeking impeachment (trial) on specific criminal charges. That hasn't changed "recently".
But most of the country simply doesn't like him, or thinks he was misleading or dishonest -- and that's not a valid reason.
