The facts you have mentioned about this lady are not complete. The country, form of marriage etc are not mentioned clearly. You say she got married in court, if she got married in court in India then this has to be only under the Special Marriage Act,1954 before the Marriage officer/registrar, who register such a marriage & issue a certificate under section13 of the said Act. Does she have such a marriage certificate with her? If she has then it means she cannot hide this marital status for obtaining Visa for any purpose for any country otherwise her declaration in the visa application as unmarried will amount to wrong declaration which if gets detected can get her visa rejected on this ground itself. If there exist no public document/record of such marriage which she calls a court marriage then firstly it is no marriage secondly she need not bother to declare herself married for obtaining visa. Any country for which you apply for immigration visa gets your marital status checked on the basis of public records pertaining to the marriage which you declare & such public records are available for inspection by anyone in the office of the Marriage officer/registrar where such, marriage was solemnized. Please confirm the correct status of her marriage & if she has all got done as mentioned above she must make correct declaration regarding it otherwise she will be in trouble.

She really does have to talk to her dad. Of course he will understand--he was with your friend's mom and most males do know and understand about periods, especially if they've been married or in long term relationships. Just keep on being a good friend, but it really isn't your place to tell her dad.

To which country she is trying to go, under which visa permit she is going is the question. She can go to any country with a legal proof visa permit and later on whenever she comes back she can attach her marriage certificate (of course after getting permission from parents) in the pass port for future sake. Let her not continue this type of things throughout her life, It is always dangerous for her and her family too. All the best for her visit to abroad Yours VRVRAO

Yeah. If she had apprehensions that her family would be upset then she should've just eloped. She needs to tell her family, she was grown enough to get married no need to hide it from family unless she is a minor and then the marriage is null and void because a minor can't willing go into a marriage agreement unless he/she is emancipated or the parents have consented. But if she hasn't legally changed her name then she should be ok. But I think she needs to tell them.

If she is married then it is registered.

That is a public record.

If her father does not know, but still she must sign the visa papers, so it will be a fraud on her part, avoid it, let the father know that she is married, and file the correct papers, with correct info to start with.

Ok, Let me get this straight. She is mature enough to make a life-altering decision like marrying, but is too much of a baby to tell daddy that she got married? What is up with that?

I think that either way her Dad will find out but I think her Dad would want her to tell him herself instead finding out the other way. He might be disappointed but will help her if needed. Good luck to your friend!

That's what your "friend" gets for being a dishonest coward. It's called karma. You lie and hide things, it comes back to haunt you ALWAYS. Remeber that next time
