Why is it that whenever a disaster happens, everyone jumps to the conclusion that it was done by terrorists? Like the recent bridge collapse.
...i see the US government has done their job. you're all brainwashed and paranoid from living in threat levels orange and red 24/7.

I know what you mean. Everything is terrorist this and terrorist that, but can you really blame people. So many people were lost during 9/11. The shadow of that day still haunts many people. We are in the middle of a conflict in the middle east. That's right, I said conflict. Congress never declared it a war. Everyday, the government is dealing with threats and we know that we can't let our guard down because that is what we did before and 9/11 happened. I never heard anyone assume that the bridge collapse was an attack, but I know when the late Cory Lidle plane crashed into that New York apartment, everyone was worried.
As for your comment on the government, I believe they are doing a good job. I am not pro-war, but I believe we can't pull the troops out because we may risk having another attack her. At least, over there the troops are trying to keep the terror alert levels at a low. Each and every day, another attack has been spoiled. Sometimes it is just paranoia, but it is better than being sorry for when it does happen again. Who knows, there are still people out there who hate this country. You never will know when and if another attack will happen, but we can't go around saying that it can't happen again. Before 9/11, I am sure people thought the United State was indestructible, but the Titanic was unsinkable. That day was a message that we are not untouchable. Even with all the security, one weak link can break the chain.

The government hasn't brainwashed me at all. It is logical for people to have that thought in their minds at first when they don't yet know all the facts. Bridges have collapsed in the past. I believe a barge hit a bridge a few years back, for example, however when one just collapses to the ground, it is not unreasonable to wonder, at first, what caused it.
I am amazed about how so many people on YA managed to spin this into a left vs. right thing when it is not.

The difference between a soldier and a terrorist is not who they fight for, but how they fight. Terrorists kill civilians and use fear as a weapon. Soldiers, on the other hand, engage in combat per a set of rules, and only against other soldiers. You can say what you want about the validity of war as a solution to problems, but "not killing unarmed civilians" is a step up from what a terrorist does. It is a step in the right direction.

There’s a difference between those who want legit information concerning the possibility of Islamic terrorist involvement and are aware of the fact that Islamic terrorism has been a problem since at least 1973 for contemporary history and those who are already inclined to jump at every little “incident”.
They are two different types of people. Recognize that and resist blaming anyone except those responsible i.e. the Islamic terrorists themselves.

Absolutely
"Summer Attack" they know so much - yet so little
They gave it 90 days - that is a short amount of time to not know facts about something.
Terror is a scam
Freedom is worth fighting for
I hate Bush trolls that use Islamic characters under their avatars to make the impression that leftists and liberals are aligned with terror!

After a tragedy people are afraid. It will years to come for this to stop being the first question people have when bad things happen.

my first thought wasn't at all "terrorism" but after 9/11 it's always gonna be in the back of peoples minds. it's not about being "paranoid" it's a legitimate response in this day and age.

It's called rampant fear and paranoia.
A side effect of the govt reminding us on a daily basis how vulnerable we are and how there are many people who are trying to hurt us.
And not "all" of us -- merely most of the population.
