Probably so Jesse Jackson doesn't turn it into some racial thing when Barroids breaks the record since Jesse and Al Sharpton are two big race lords.

I did not know that Selig said anything to Jackson. If he did I am sure it was because he wants to keep the accomplishment within baseball without any racial overtones.

The funny thing would be by GOING to Jesse Jackson, after he has made this "Herculean effort", and getting his "permission" he just made it racial. After all who would go to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton unless he want the racist's approval, which would mean that RACE MATTERS. It is too ironic when you think about it. You go to them to keep them from making it about race, but actually are making it about race yourself.

What team does Jesse Jackson play for? Can I get him on my fantasy team?

Because he wants Jesse Jackson to tell Nomar Garciaparra to stop his retarded tics when he adjusts his stupid batting glove. Nomar is suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder when he does that.

I'm sure he'd be the life of the party when he takes a leak in the restroom and his tics start up.
