I am waiting on Al Sharpton to pronounce his judgment. What race were the engineers?

Since global warming has caused (or will be said to have caused -- I forget which) shifting in the earth's structural make up and/or atmospheric pressure changes, either of which could have significantly contributed to the bridge collapse
AND
since Global Warming is Bush's fault, the bridge collapse is tied directly to Bush. I'm just waiting for Congress to whip out a 6 year old document on the weakness of the bridge and the way the environment may contribute to it. Imagine the fun they'll have brandishing it about and saying that Bush should have known.

Liberals will say Global Warming or bush.
Conservatives will blame Liberals.
I am a Libertarian and I like this answer....Here is one answer I found:
To whom it may concern:
I will get right to the point. I think I know what caused the Interstate 35W bridge to collapse...
Resonance.
This is not unprecedented. In 1940 the Tacoma Narrows Bridge collapsed for a physically similar reason though it was a different type. Please see the movie at this link.

The fault lies with the design in which regions of support or flexing joints are evenly spaced instead of staggered.
This is consistent with the simultaneous breaking into equal sections, and with eyewitness reports of vibrations, and up and down movements. All of these relate to oscillations of standing wave patterns. One witness identified the vibration as driven by a jackhammer. Resonance can amplify modest vibrations.

Why is it that the IRS scandal and Libya are by some ability Bush's fault? At no time did Bush blame a youtube vid for the assaults. He on no account withheld the help of people calling for help. At no time did The IRS under Bush ask for inner maximum assistance on donors to those communities. We have been warned approximately 9-11 in 1996, 4 years till now Bush have been given into place of work, Clinton on no account observed extra healthful to bypass the warning directly to the incoming president. what share US Ambassadors died whilst Bush became in place of work, what share situations did the assaults final over 7 hours with American help in basic terms minutes away, help that became ordered to stand down? end attempting in charge Bush, guy up and admit that obama screwed up, the three am call got here and neither he nor Clinton spoke back.

The dems blame Bush...
Rep. James Oberstar, the Minnesota Democrat who chairs the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, blamed President George W. Bush's administration for shortchanging road and bridge repair in a highway funding bill two years ago.
truly unbelievable.

You should have tuned in to PMSNBC! Apparently, like hurricane Katrina, this is absolutely Bush's fault! If he hadn't believed the same intelligence that Bill Clinton, Tony Blair and a whole hosts of other legislators believed, he wouldn't have invaded Iraq, and all of our money wouldn't be tied up there, and we would have had the money to fix that bridge and the other 60 or so thousand that have been declared unfit!

They are blaming the mayor Idid hear someone blame the republican congress for allowing BS programs to get funding instead of bridges to get repaired. The criticism was alos aimed at the people because we are ready to fund a glamor program such as a sports stadium before we offer money to fund less spectacular porjects. I'm sure someone will blame bush and iraq sooner or later, never fails.

I think it was the liberals fault. I heard that the inspectors wanted to stop traffic on the bridge earlier in the year but a lib said it might damage the bridge's self-esteem and there needs to be traffic equality.

While the weather might have played a huge part in it, it was not global warming. Maybe Bridge inspections should be done right after harsh winters instead of in the fall.

wow, you have some anger issues here don't you? Can we really place blame on this one? If there is blame to place, the investigation will find out the truth.
I honestly just pray that God places all the affected people in the comfort of His embrace.
