Not as a primary card. You would be better off getting another computer or a motherboard and a good video card. Aslo, the machine came stock with 512mb of Ram. for todays games you need at least 1gb or more. You could have built your own computer and have 3x the computer for what you spent on that Dell. You could get a new motherboard for about 65.00, a 7600 video card for about 170.00, and an additional 512mb of ram for about 40.00 all from someplace like Newegg.com That combination would smoke adding the Physx card for only about 140.00 more. Quit wasting your money with Dell.

The PhysX unit isn't a standalone video card so it's not useful.
Jes-say is right, if you've only got PCI slots, that ATI X1550 is the best available primary card for you.
You could upgrade your motherboard and use PCI-E cards, but that's expensive. You'd be looking at buying a motherboard, video card and power supply (since the newer gaming cards draw more power than Dell's stock psus can handle) At that point, you're better off building a new barebones system from scratch.

This absolutely IS NOT a video card. Some games which use Ageia PhysX allow an external card for calculating physics. Unfortunately it never really caught on, so the only use these would have would be for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. You're better off saving your money and getting a better, more upgradeable computer for yourself.

For a primary Card, I'd use THIS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103031
It's the best Newegg offers for around your price range.
For REAL gaming, either upgrade your Motherboard and Processor OR buy a new computer.
The item you gave a link to does NOT have any video outputs. It's purpose is to work along with your current video and cannot be the new primary video card.

That is not a primary graphics card, it works in conjuction with the graphics card already in your system.
"Together with a PC’s CPU and GPU, the AGEIA PhysX Processing Unit (PPU) makes up the new Gaming Power Triangle, in which the CPU “thinks and orchestrates” to drive playability, AI and overall game-logic, the general purpose GPU “renders and displays” to deliver beautiful 3D imagery, and the new AGEIA PhysX Processor, “moves and interacts” to take gaming to the next level."

Most reviews I read say that the benefits of a hardware physics accelorator do not out way the price. Also, there are very few games that support them. See this article from Maximum PC magazine.
