i was having dizzy spells and it turned out i have low blood sugar so next time you start feeling dizzy drink a glass of juice or eat some crackers...i would also try breaking up my meals into 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones that way your body is never without food...i hope this helps

It could be blood pressure, or it could be because your uterus is expanding and putting pressure on your back, affecting how much blood is going to your head. I am only 14 weeks and have had severe dizziness spells to the point where I actually black out and hit the ground. However, I also had them on occasion before I was pregnant, but my doctor never seemed concerned.

Hi there.
I am 33 weeks pregnant and have had a couple of similar episodes during my pregnancy. I have been monitoring my own blood pressure throughout these and it always seems fine.
However, it tends to be worse when i go from lying to sitting or bending forwards.
I saw my GP and midwife and both assure me this is normal and to just take it easy for a bit.
As for the heart pounding, mine sometimes feels like it might burst out of my chest!! Just remember the heart has to work twice as hard during pregnancy as by the end we have twice as much blood in our system as we would normally...nearly 15 pints!!!!
I have had to resort to taking a little sit down and slowing my pace of life, which is difficult for me!!!
Hope this is reassuring for you but if in doubt just seek another doctors opinion, they are fully prepared for us neurotic pregnant women and we want to get our money's worth!!!!
Take care and good luck.

Did they tell you to go in and get your blood pressure checked? Blood pressure problems can be dangerous. This is about the time that pre-eclampsia problems start. If it doesn't get better go to the ER. Better safe than sorry.

Ryan’s mom is right you should get checked. Also lay of the salty foods. You can lay on you side and when you get up do it slowly. gl
