I dont have a temper really but if something was to extremely upset me, just like the next person i would go mad & say my piece

Yes. I have a problem with rage, beyond bad temper.
Self control is the main thing.
Suppressing the rage for long period of time can be bad though, find a good outlet like a 100 lb punching bag.

Yep.
Often times in the past, when I would lose control of it and explode, I would immediately regret it even as I'm in the act of it... usually right after, you realize that it isn't worth it, and that now you have a whole lot more to worry about.

Yes, most of the stuff people get angry about doesn't really matter in the long run, but the effects of acting on anger can have lifelong consequences.
