What kind of Caterpillar is this?

We found a crazy huge green caterpillar. It has a yellow ring around its neck. what is it?

That sounds like a Luna Moth larva. Very large, quite pretty. Put the caterpillar along with some branches of the tree into an old bird cage and keep it supplied with the leaves. It will soon spin a cocoon and later emerge as a large green moth. Let it go.
