Seaside and Point are both kinda touristy and gross. Bradley and Avon are very clean and really quiet. Try Belmar for a younger crowd (especially around 16th Ave) and Ocean Grove for a family atmosphere. Asbury Park is in a "restoration period" and there's not much to see or do and there are no lifeguards (yet). Sea Bright and Manasquan are both really nice beaches, with a good mix of family and twenty-somethings.

If you're in your late teens or early 20's, try 17th Avenue Beach in Belmar. It's only 15 minutes from Long Branch. For families try Long Beach Island, it's about an hour.

You would do better to travel a little more south and try Long Beach Island, better than the others and cleaner

You discovered it already! on your head! because of the fact places like that for the time of Jersey dont' exist. Jersey is so grimy anymore. this is overcrowded and infested with rubbish and too many human beings!
