first of all RELAX! You cannot get it in if you are not relaxed and comfortable sit on the toilet spread your legs if you are not sure where your vagina is you need to feel for it then insert the applicator into your vagina and SLOWLY press the plunger while backing out the applicator . I started my period when I was 10 as well and I have used tampons since day one....you are not to young just inexperienced if you cannot do it ask your mom to help you, you would be surprised with the things your parents are willing to help you with!

I got my first tampon in today (I'm 16) it took loads of tries.. I was trying yesterday too... what helped me in the end was using a mirror (yup I know it isn't pleasant to see..) but it really helped me get it in. I really recommend you try it!! Good luck.

Ok be prepared to be a little grosed out: hold 'the flaps' open. find ur vagina and slowly insert the tampon pointing towards ur lower back. Good luck! try putting lubricant on it.

Read the instructions on the box that the tampons came in.

You don't need to repost questions. Try putting a bit of lubricant on the tip of the applicator, such as KY or Vaseline. Try putting one foot up on something like the tub or the toilet.

You don't need to wear a tampon in the pool. Just wear a panty liner so you don't mess up your bathing suit and you'll be fine. You won't see the blood in the pool. Believe me, I go swimming almost everyday even with my period and I've never worn a tampon.
