I never pick up my home phone unless I recognize the number from caller ID. So they can't bother me.
My family and I actually just participated in an Arbitron radio ratings survey. We had to carry little diaries around all week and write down whenever we were listening to the radio - station, time, etc. It was pretty interesting.

I got polled last year...phone call, lasted about 5 mins...just from the questions I could tell how the poll was being designed...after about 5 mins I said I don't want to participate.

I vote, i've got had some political signs and indications in my backyard, no longer plenty, and when I stood outdoors a polling place with an illustration waiting to respond to questions. All in close by elections in basic terms, never national.

I've been polled by Gallup twice in the last few years. Once during the 2004 Presidential election and once about two months ago, again for the upcoming Presidential election, both by telephone.

No. The figures are made up. The reports are socially constructed to say exactly what the government wants them to say. It's very hard to believe otherwise. Again, the media are lying to us.

I actually have, a few times. I always wondering who they are polling for. if you consistently give answers that they don't want it seems the question get rephrased. I refuse to change my answer no matter how ridiculous the rephrased questions become.

I have. I thought the questions asked were totally unreasonable. It was like they were trying to get me to change my mind or think the way the pollster wanted. When we were done, I told the caller there was no way I was going to vote for his candidate.
