I dropped a dresser drawer on my ankle on Sunday and it's still swollen and bruised and hurts more today than when I did it. I thought at first it was just a sprain, but its' been four days of Motrin, elevation, ice and heat and it's not getting any better, what should I do?

I think the obvious choice here is GO TO THE DOCTOR! I hurt my ankle real bad a few summers ago and never went to the doctor...I just toughed through it...and I'll tell you right now...i reget it evertime it rains....If you just ignore it and let it go...it'll come back to haunt you...walking on it will damage it more, you'll be better off just spending the money and going to the ER....the worst case scenario is they'll say it isn't broken and give you stronger meds to stop the pain...

go to the dr you may have cracked a bone or sprained it seriously . I would get myself to a dr cause 4 days is a long time for it to still be swollen and hurting . good luck .

You probably broke something---you should see a doctor.
