you can keep him with u until you go into labor, have a plan to drop him off on the way to the hospital or have someone pick him up, you arent going to want him there when you are giving birth!

How young is your nephew? Can he be left alone during your stay at the hopital, you never know how things go, you may need a c-section, If your nephew is old enough to stay home and care for himself? If you feel he should be with a relative, thats ok too. All depends on the age. I wouldn't have my nephew in the delivery room.

My son was home with me up until I went into labor with my daughter. But I also have family close by and he went to stay with my dad while I went to the hospital. This time same thing will happen. My parents will take the two older kids when I go into labor. I don't think they let children stay in the room with you at the hospital. I know here the DO let siblings go up to the room after the baby is born.

Children are not allowed to spend the night at the hospital. I know that is how it is in California when I had my daughter.
The best thing to do is for you to have someone watch him while you are in the hospital. While in the hospital, the nurses will want you to get as much rest as necessary and after delivering a baby, you will not have the energy to tend to your nephews needs. Personally, I believe he would be bored at the hospital all the time.

It depends on their age. If there is someone that can stay with him in the waiting room he can be at the hospital. He might enjoy seeing his new cousin after he/she is born. If he is too young and rambunctious it is best to have him stay at home or at the home of a relative. People are VERY misinformed. Kids ARE allowed in the hospital, and they ARE allowed on the maternity ward. They are NOT allowed in ICU unless they are 12 or older.

no because of the germs that they can carry kids are not allowed in delivery. I would find him someone he can stay with while you are in the hospital. they do not like that many people to bring kids into the hospital with all of the new borns you never know the baby may get sick or someone elses baby. better safe than sorry.
