cable w/phone & dsl: $80-$100
gas: depends on whether you have gas water heater and gas stove or just one or the other. For both during the winter, $300
electric: $60, remember to TURN IT OFF IF YOU'RE NOT USING IT!!! CONSERVE!!!
water: $25
rent:???
don't forget, you have to pay security deposits before they will turn utilities on
so for easy math, say an average of $300+rent a month
also, if the only gas you have is your heater, you can forgo gas and use electric heat so you have no gas bill.

Hi. First of all I don't live in Ohio! BUT - all rented accomodation varies significantly in cost - depending on many factors. The most important of which (regardless of size or ammenties) is Location. As for costs - such as electricity, phone, etc. - they can vary on your supplier - but at the end of the day the cost will be largely down to you and how much of each of those utilites you use.
A couple of bits of advice: Calculate how much you have. You need money for a retainer (deposit) and probably two months rent up-front. Ensure that the property has been properly vetted (best way is through an agency). Always read the contract. Never pay money until you are happy with the property (that you have viewed and if needed checked over). Bear in mind the balance between cost and location - you don't want to be in a neighbourhood where you are constantly worrying about being broken into. Also, you don't want to be in an apartment wherby you can't afford to eat!! If you have time use it - don't move just for the hell of it. Remember unresolved problems will ALWAYS reamerge later.
