Has anyone subscribed to the MLB.TV online? I was wondering if it was worth the money and if it's really "live" or quite delayed from being on the internet. Thanks for your help.

Hi Craig: what exactly is extra innings? Is it something on you cable package that you watch on TV? I wanted to be able to watch it at work (shhh), so if it's tv I would be out of luck...does it show games later on or something? Thanks for the input!

I've subscribed to it, and I'd say that it's a good option if you travel a lot or want to watch games in multiple locations. Personally, I prefer the Extra Innings package on TV, but MLB.TV does work for certain people.

As for the feeds, they're about the same as you find on TV. You'll need to make sure that you have high-speed access or you'll be running into constant buffering. One of the cool things they now offer is "Mosaic," which lets you watch multiple games at one time on your screen. The quality of the picture you get is pretty good, although it decreases quite a bit if you choose to go to the fullscreen mode. The other benefit is that you can catch games from previous dates, in case there's something you missed and would like to see.

Overall, I'd say it's a good product if you don't want to get Extra Innings. But, I'd make sure that it first fits your needs, and don't forget about blackouts.

Edit - Yeah, Extra Innings is the TV package that you can get via most satellite or cable providers. Unlike the Internet feed, though, you can't go back and watch games or watch several at a time. I forgot one benefit of MLB.TV is that you will get every game that is broadcast, while Extra Innings doesn't provide such comprehensive coverage. For example - I'm a Jays fan, and only about 75 of their games are usually carried on the TV package, while all but a very few are included on MLB.TV.

extra innings is live on cable or dish, i think. mlb.tv is delayed about ten seconds. it's probably worth it if you want to watch games that aren't on tv (although espn games seem to be on sometimes) you get the home team's broadcast. if your internet isn't really fast, you should just get 400k, i have dsl and it has trouble loading. but the gameday audio is good if that's enough for you. i'm actually listening to the red sox game right now because the video is having trouble loading. i think it's just my computer though...

I found April early in that month and am now looking for May as it is 04.30.15. After clicking on the MLB tab, click the "Stew" tab on the menu bar. Scroll down until you see that month s schedule. Thought I could find May at this time, but no luck yet. Will try link above. Good luck to all. (It should not be this difficult unless...) :)
