i have this friend who lives in texas and i live in minnesota. well anyway i found out that she is having a baby shower. i had asked her why didnt i get a invintation and she said its because she knew i could not make it becuse we are long distance she also said its because she dosent want me to feel like i have to send a gift. what should i do. im so mad at her for not inviting me

I understand how you feel, but she explained to you why she did not extend an invitation to you. Don't be sad. Be happy for her, she is having a baby. Aren't that what friends are for? Be glad that you do have such a thoughtful friend. She really meant well.

Similar things have happened to me... and I get all bent out of shape over it. I think that sometimes people do things without thinking and they aren't intentionally trying to hurt you but they wind up hurting you anyways. My advice would be to try to forgive this person. If you don't it'll damage your relationship with them and it'll eat away at you. Move on and try to forget it.

Could be the truth. Sometimes you think on the fly and don't make the best judgment calls.

She gave valid reasons. None of the rteasons were that she feels any less towards you, so don't worry about it.

i think you have every reason to be mad,she is your friend and you should have got an invite,no matter how far away you live,
