Drampor - I love humorous answers, as you know. :)

What amazes me is how many people write answers that don't answer the question, only because they didn't pay attention to what was asked.

i do, and i'm in good company.

the trick is in getting the answer you want to give and the answer the asker wants to get to mesh into one we can BOTH be happy with.

i look for details, key words, past questions, etc. all to see what the asker is looking for in an answer. then i tailor my answer accordingly.

i hear :):):):)s work very well in some parts.

Well, I really try to read the entire question and or questions before answering. I think it is only polite, since the person asking the question wants an answer for that question! I agree that it seems as if some people are answering an entirely different question than the one being asked! It is a pain, but people are in a hurry sometimes!

Thanks for asking this question!

You have a wonderful evening and night as well! ~ Mum : )

Hi Moon : ) Hope u are having a great day/night! I do see what you mean about not reading the questions through. I read them through, and I think that I answer the entire question. For me tho, I know sometimes I have alot to say and am afraid I don't always get it all together in my answers. Something I am working on...lol A star for you!

ROFL didnt you know? P & S is the area for people with impulsivity problems........ read two key words then answer.... LOL. I love P& S!

i try to read them thoroughly, but sometimes the "details" are of an entirely seperate issue then the inital question, in which case i answer the question; then some times depending on the context of the "details," address the issues therein.
Sometimes i don't bother with the "details" in the case that the questions are hillarious and asked with the purpose of getting a funny response.

Hi Moon

I read them yes. The temptation is to make the answer fit what you want to say. So here goes yes Moon I do believe that we should all read more. Literacy is a key indicator of a child's future life chances, particularly in Western Countries ......

ROFLMAO Only joking Moon. Yes I do really read the question, may not understand it, but do read it before attempting to answer them.

I certainly read the questions, but I reserve the right to answer the questions in my own way. There are many ways to respond to a question:

The Direct Answer
The indirect answer
The mildly sarcastic remark
The snide comment
No answer at all (giving the responder an opportunity to rant and rail
Misleading answer
Holistic answer

I prefer the holistic answer. I like the history, the why and the how. I like to demonstrate somehow that it matters to me when I can, and I like To make it clear that I believe in what I took the time to put down.

I always read the question before I answer and I think a long time before I decide if I want to answer or not...
I always want to word my answer right...
Although I have had problems in the past with misunderstanding the asker, or them not furnishing enough info for me to answer properly...
Most often I think I do a good job...

I usually read all the details first. That's usually what people miss out on. They skip right over them and you don't get the answer you are looking for.
