There is always a chance you could be pregnant if you've had sex, no matter if you have a period or not. I know a few women who've menstruated and pregnant.

Get a pregnancy test if you are worried or see a doctor.

Menstruation usually stops when a woman is pregnant. However, in some cases, a woman might have a period with less blood or that lasts fewer days than usual and still be pregnant. Your confusion is understandable because these signs can lead women to believe they are not pregnant. However, various kinds of bleeding can occur in early pregnancy. Women can get some spotting in their first trimester:

* when the fertilized egg implants in the uterus;
* if the pregnancy is abnormal in any way [i.e., ectopic pregnancy (implantation outside of the uterus, such as in a fallopian tube), a threatening miscarriage]; or,
* from bleeding as part of their menstrual cycle (this is extremely rare).

If you've had a period since you last had sex, you are not pregnant. If the period you experienced was more like spotting, and not like a menstrual flow, that could be what is called "implantation bleeding", which would mean that you could be pregnant. If you've had a second period, even, since you've had sex, you definitely aren't pregnant.

If you're asking these kinds of questions, you absolutely do not need to be having sex yet.

If you have period, you are not pregnant. You need to do sex again. The better position is you lie down on your back and your partner on the top, your legs raise high above so that deep penetration is possible in order to easy move of sperm inside. If you do sex at the middle of your period, there is high chance of being pregnant.
