I was recently Pro-life.
But now I'm pro-choice.
Everybody has a choice. to live or to kill themselves. Babies are the same except they have no voice to say "kill Me". So I am here to protect their choice to live. Atleast until they can say kill me and mean it. Then it is their choice.
But until they are born, we must defend their choice to live. To see life out of the womb. Do you agree?

kow what pro-life is and all that other abortion is wrong stuff because my mom is into it and talks about it alot.
This is my own version of pro-choice. IT is normally called pro-life but the deffinition we have of pro-choice now is wrong. either you are for it or against it.
So now I say Pro-choice is FOR the baby's coice to live and since the baby cant talk, we have to wait till it can talk to say "I want to be killed" but by then it is murder so the life is protected forever.

you say your Pro-choice now but every thing you said sounds pretty pro-life to me.
I am Pro-choice for several reasons. Rape, If a female gets pregnant by being raped then she should have the choice to bring the baby in to this world or not. Age, if a 12 year old gets pregnant from someone, whether its a boyfriend around her age or a pedophile. The girl is too young to be able to care for her child and her parents should help her decide. Lifestyle, If a woman that is currently living in the ghetto or low income living area and she can barley getting by paycheck to paycheck, or maybe she is a drug addict she should have the choice to bring the child into the world. In most of the cases i have listed above all have one thing in common. There all unexpected pregnancy. Now i know not all unexpected pregnancies are bad and should be aborted but in these spacial situations are the reasons i am pre-choice. We don't need anymore kids in the adaption process which can mess up a child pretty bad.
Edit- you cant change the terminology so late in the game, sorry for you, but if you continue to use "your" terminology then expect flack from both parties... that's like I'm gonna start to call a driveway a parkway and a parkway a driveway. Cause everyone know that you park in a driveway but it should be a parkway right?!? BTW what do you call pro-choice people now then?
You my friend have a lot to learn about life and the way things work. Try in the other shoe for once. Not everyone lives in your pretty world...

OH yes, once the child is born then it can say ok, go ahead and kill me then the parents will be put in jail because they killed their child or if they take their life then all the religous people out there will say that they are going to a special place of fire with the devil. That is much much better. Im not putting down your idea and certainly everyone is entitled to their own. I actually give you credit for posting a comment like this since you are going to get alot of nasty answers.
I understand the idea behind pro life. Yes, this is a living thing and yes it is being killed. No, killing a human is not ok but then flip the coin.
Now you have a woman who was raped and left for dead with a child in her stomach... should she have to keep that child? You have a woman who knows that her child is going to be born mentaly and psycally chalanged... should she keep the child to suffer for a few years before it dies???
Neither side of this coin is good but I think that there are circumstances where I have to agree with both sides of this. So your comming up with what is acceptable and what is not in your own way is also ok. Good luck, this is a nasty topic to start. :)

what you said was kind of confusing. I mean I feel really strongly about abortion, needless to say I'm pro life completely. My bf is pro choice. He thinks it's the womans choice because its the womans body. I told him because i was pro life he was automatically pro life. lol But really, it's not the just womans baby, she couldn't have made the choice on her own, and if you're going to be pro choice, at least make the choice with the woman. it may very well be her body but it isn't full her baby. You said everyone has a choice to live or kill themselves. babies don't kill themselves, other people make the decision to kill them! If the fetus's could talk do you honestly think they'd choose not to live because some girl made a mistake with a guy she probably didn't care about?

I think you have it backwards on accident. You were Pro-Choice and now you're Pro-Life, yes?
The arguement is whether or not the government has the right to tell a woman what to do. I do not think they should be able to "force" the pregnancy in certain circumstances like incest, rape, or when the mother's health is jeopardized by the pregnancy. It should be the mother's choice.
But I think since the government is not comfortable with defining this "gray area" it's pretty much legal for anyone under any cicumstances.
We need to do a better job at parenting so our children are not using it as a method of birth control. We need to be less judgemental of woman who become pregnant under "less than ideal" circumstances as defined by society and educate them about their options (like adoption) instead of putting them down or passing judgement.
This is not a cut and dry issue. Therefore it has to be pro-choice. I also think this question was a little inappropriate in the "pregnancy" forum.

It depends on the circumstances. What if the female was raped and ended up pregnant by her attacker.
What if the female is a victim of familial incest. Is she then expected to bring that child into the world as a constant reminder of what she went through?
I am against abortion as a form of birth control but what about the victims?
An abortion is the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. This can occur spontaneously as a miscarriage, or be artificially induced by chemical, surgical or other means. "Abortion" can refer to an induced procedure at any point during human pregnancy; it is sometimes medically defined as either miscarriage or induced termination before the point of viability.[1] Throughout history, abortion has been induced by various methods. The moral and legal aspects of abortion are subject to intense debate in many parts of the world.
I feel as though it is your body you have the right to do with it what you want your the one who has to live with your decision.
This is a can of worms you shouldn't open on answers because not everyone is going to be polite about there responses.
People have a choice and that is that. I think you should let this one go...

You are mistaken in your logic on a number of accounts. Obnviously FETUSES do not have the cognitive ability to defend themselves, nor the physical ability to survive without being attached to the mother. Assuming the mother is of sound mind she is the sole controller and decider of her body. It is well known that the beginning of life is a widely debated topic from culture to culture. The Rabbis of the Talmud said for the first thirty days a fetus is just water. The Kung people of subsaharan Africa do not believe in life until after the fetus is born and seperated from the mother.
It is also foolish to assume everybody has a choice to live or to kill themselves. Many people who are depressed feel so compelled to commit suicide that effectively the choice is eliminated. Also, what if the only choice is between dying and living in great pain. One could make a similar case for aborted fetuses. What if the fetus would have a severe disability and live in pain their whole life? What if the fetus was a result of rape or other sexual assault? In those situaltions the person grows up without love and without opportunities. Do you really want a person with a rapist genes and likely history of abuse near your kids? And, the Cincher, what if the fetus edangered the life of the womon? Isnt the life of a fully developed person more important?

I agree with you. It is amazing how many people are confused and do not understand you. To be pro-abortion is to be anti-choice. Our choices in life should not infringe upon the rights of others. Everyone should have the right to life. It is in the Constitution.

there are always circumstances
such as the woman not being able to care for the baby, the baby is deformed, the mother will die if she continues being pregnant, she was raped etc...
i think we should have a limit to how many children we can have and if u want more, u adopt.
it would certainly help the population problem.

What are you trying to say? You sound pro-life but that's your choice. I just don't like when use abortions as a form of birth-control. But I don't really get your question can you clear it up for me please.
