What are the basic beliefs of the Democratic party?

In short, the Democratic party believes that the government has a responsibility to help everyone thru government programs, should be inclusive of all people and has historically been liberal on social issues (pro abortion, pro affirmative action, anti capital punishment, pro taxation)

In short, the Republican party believe that less government is better, that Americans should strive to solve problems themselves or at a more local level, that the majority rules even if at the cost of the minority and they have historically been conservative on social issues (anti abortion, anti affirmative action, pro capital punishment and anti taxation).

Hope that helps

Democrats feel that government should take care of the population in every facet of their lives. All things should be made availabvle to all people and tax the daylights out of anyone moderately sucessfull to pay the bills. They support a woman's right to choose to get an abortion, gay marriage, more gun control, national health care, increased welfare, and restrictions on industry to help protect the environment.

Republicans feel that MOST things should be the responsibility, and choise, of the individual, not the government, to take care of their day to day needs, with notable exceptions. They do not want a woman to have a choise for an abortion, except possibly in cases of rape or when the mothers life will be endangered. They support the right to bear arms and enforce the gun control laws that are already on the book rather than add further restrictions. They believe that less taxes will mean investment back in the economy that provides more for everyone who works for it. They are also against Gay marriage because it is a sacrement and there is supposed to be a separation between church and state. Some have argued that this is why gay marriage should be allowed, but they are unaware that the separation between church and state is a one way street. The state cannot interfere with the church, but churches are free to pursue political agendas such as the right to lifers.

More recently, both parties seem to be adding to the governmental infrastructure though, and both parties continue to point fingers at the other party and blame them for everything that can be remotely tied to them.

Frankly, it's never been a better time for a change, to put both parties on notice that we are fed up with their pointless bickering and posturing.

democrats are spenders, there are always more government programs for the needy under a democratic administration

conservatives are savers, they are for "less governance, less taxes." They believe that less taxes will spur the people to spend more money, thus boosting the economy.

However, in the current administration, the government has been spenders, not savers. That's why the deficit is at an all time high. They cut taxes and increased spending....Not good. Now we have a hole that will take years to dig ourselves out from.

It was the Democrats were for the common people and the Republicans were the money people who gave big breaks to businesses. This, however, has changed. To be a Democrat, you must be an abortionist. This is a must. The last primary I voted in had 9 people running for one office and every single one of them was pro-choice. The Republicans are trying to maintain the status quo in an ever changing world. The truth and goodness lies in the middle, but we can't have it that way.

Democrats are all about making money while in Congress or in the White house and so are Republicans. Don't want to believe the truth? Well, just look at all their campaign fund bank accounts. OVERSTUFFED WITH DOLLARS, not our love and respect, but dollars. That's what they're after.

This representative form of government is BROKEN beyond repair. THE ONLY THING we need now is to have VOTING ON THE INTERNET to replace this broken system. We need to vote DIRECTLY on the ISSUES. Don't think it's possible? Go to my website and HELP US BEGIN the process.

basically republicans tradiionally believe that the indiviual can determine what is best for their lives and that government duties are to make laws and enforce laws that protect these beliefs of the majority.

democrates traditionally believe that the government is best equipped to collect and disburse funds for the good of the people...considered by republicans to be a 'nanny' government.

lines have been blurred greatly the last couple of decades so these have become fractured and you will find many variable on who defines themselves a what.

lately, the extremist on both sides have been come the most vocal and the self-proclaimed spokesmen for both.

The Democrats stand for big govt, safety nets, like Universal health care, welfare... etc. and higher taxes to pay for social programs.

The Republicans stand for smaller govt. Less government intervention, personal responsibility, and lower taxes to help people pay for things like health care.

Though the republican party recently has been spending an absorbent amount of stupid things like the bridge to nowhere.

I beielive the common phrase is " Spending like democrats"

How are we supposed to tell you what we "think" without our personal beliefs? - I'll try, with everything I say being verifyable with SOME facts at least. I write about it all at spinornospin.blogspot.com - not paid to, but the ad is sponsored.

Democrats - basically everyone get along, as long as everyone plays the same game with the same rules, except for whoever is the "majority", who is to be penalized for their obvious success. Our power as a nation comes from rising within, not seeking power without. Ethics come from massing groups and asking them what ethics are, regardless of their perspective.

Republicans - basically everyone get along because it's in the bible, as long as everyone plays the same game under God. The majority rules, with minority rights when convenient and necessary to maintain our power base. Ethics supposedly come from God, but aren't enforced by anyone but God. Power comes from success and a belief that the U.S. is the supreme power in the world - under God.

The Democrats stand for tolerance, outdated economically unviable solutions to failed policies, large groups of easily corruptable people, and wasting financial resources.

The Republicans stand for what the Dems used to stand for in WWII, Intolerance for cultures other than their own, small, elite groups of already corrupted people, and wasting environmental resources.

Democrats were originally liberal, but have swung more toward a socialist agenda -- they believe that the purpose of the govt is to protect and care for the people -- in a very "motherly" way. Motherly = (stereotype) no hurt feelings, plenty of food, health care, coddled....

Republicans were originally fiscal conservative, but have been taken over by neo-conservatives. Their primary goal is to keep people safe -- even if that means the kids get "grounded" and all resources are allocated to securtity. A very "paternalistic" model with strict rules.

Lady, there is not a dime's worth of difference between the two major U.S. political parties. The differences are all just a show--they are both under the control of the New World Order, the globalists whose ONLY desires are money, power, and total control.
