Here, you have a President of the US telling his people to ignore congressional subpoenas and Congress seems to be powerless to do anything about it. Why isn't the Bush/Cheney team being impeached, and why aren't Harriet Miers, Karl Rove and Alberto Gonzales under arrest?

Because you seem to have all the answers and the proof necessary (even though you do not display it here), why don't YOU go to Washington and put Congress back on track with your incredible intelligence and have Bush and Cheney impeached and the rest arrested... who did you vote for as your congressional representative?... is he/she doing what they promised they would do?...

Why have you not read and understood the US Constitution? Why do you not understand that the Democrats in Congress have been on a witch hunt ever since Mr. Bush first got elected?
We have a separation of powers clause in the Constitution. The Congress cannot take over, run, usurp the powers of the Executive branch.
The President will not be impeached. He has not committed any "high crimes or misdemeanors" which are the basis for impeachment.
The president had the legal right to fire US attorneys. There is no reason to let Congress go on unimpeded with the witch hunt.
There are no grounds for anyone to arrest anyone. Congress can issue contempt citations. But they do not have a police force or military so they cannot throw anyone in jail.

are you really so blind as to see that congress does not want to do anything?! really the president is not the ultimate power in our government...congress is so they can do whatever they like but the thing is they are only after power and money too, like the majority of the politicians. they act as if they hate bush and the admin because it benefits them but they work hand in hand with him too. bush/cheney, miers, rove and gonzales have done nothing illegal either, no more so than any other admininstration so there is no reason for them to be impeached or arrested. try to get past your media induced hatred and research the facts and look at whats going on in our government honestly. this whole i hate bush mantra is just a distraction while congress continues to pass laws and bills that benefit them. so while you are busy hating they are busy making money and gaining power...what a great way to keep the american ppl busy...distraction.

There is this document that is called the Constitution that limits powers. A lot of talk from one end of Pennsylvania Avenue doesn't necessarily warrent impeachment.

Look, as long as Bush and company continue this kind of crap the Democrats will have more and more to throw at the GOP candidates in next year's elections. That could be the best thing that could happen to the Democrats. Imagine a landslide like 1964 when Johnson beat Goldwater and more Democratic seats were won in both houses of Congress and then, this time, keep that mix for a couple of decades. It could and may well happen.

Yes, Congress is pathetic, and the reason they haven't taken action is because they have their own skeletons in the closet, and besides they have been threatened by the Shrub gang to go along with what he wants or else. It's interesting that Congress's approval ratings are even LOWER than the Shrub's!

What gets me about this, too, is the bill to tighten up lobbying - as if they actually expect us to believe that anything will change. Sen. Obama said that he thought that this bill was a good change, and would give people their confidence in their Congress back. I have NO confidence in Congress, I have NO confidence in the President, I have NO confidence in the judiciary.
