Unfortunately no we DO NOT. We just never seemed to achieve that reputed Mother-Daughter bonding - ever.
I live quite a distance from her now so we get along better than when I lived closer to her. However, we just are such different personality types and I just feel like we never reached a point of the usual type of maternal/child level that "normal" relationships reach. That probably is what "cheated" us out of getting along now.
I mean we can be civil, but much deeper than that & it's like we're complete strangers.

We started to really get along once I became a mother myself, but we had a LOT of differences and hang-ups before then......
