People believe in a god to explain how the universe is perfectly arranged to allow life as it is. Since we would not be here if the universe formed in any other way could it be that the universe has been created an infinite number of times. This time is the one that happened to be perfect?

All of the explanations for how the big bang could have happened include conditions that would tend to repeat over and over, so I'd say that yes, there have probably been many big bangs. Current cosmological theory, however, suggests that there is no big collapse, that the energy of the universe will keep expanding indefinitely.

The idea that the universe expands and then collapses again, possibly an infinite number of times, is out of date. Recent measurements say the universe will expand forever and never collapse again. In fact it is ACCELERATING. The cause is currently unknown, so astronomers are assuming some unknown force which they call "dark energy" is acting kind of like anti-gravity to make the universe fly apart faster and faster.

Possible, but no way to tell. It is not clear that the universe is destined toward a big collapse; indeed, the expansion appears to be increasing in speed. But all of this is on the bleeding edge of science, and since we know nothing of the properties of dark energy or dark matter, it will be a while before we know for sure. The subject is, of course, of great interest to astronomers, and much investigation is being done.

I believe that there was never a big bang, and that the Universe is constantly contracting and expanding. If the big bang theory was definately true, I would think that we don't exist even now.

Because scientific principles which the big bang are based upon can be observed and to a limited extent reproduced here and now.

no, i think that the "big bang", is just something that people say to explain there (no offense) incompetence. there was no "big bang", how would the big bang even happen if there was nothing but darkness. and i don't think anything in that matter happened in an infinite number of times dear.

I believe that the universe we live in is inside of a supermassive black hole. This just makes sense to me. The universe is expanding because the black hole is expanding.

Quite possibly. That is one of the biggest questions in physics today.
