i was foolin around with my lock/unlock keyless entry remote one day and by pressing a certian sequince of buttons my car started up, with no keys in the ignition. i didnt know if my car has remote keyless starting or if it was a strange glitch in the electrical. i dont have the owners manual to my car, so i was wondering if anyone knows if the 2000 grand am comes with keyless starting capabilities?

No GM vehicle came equipped with a remote starter from the factory. You must have had one or bought the car with one installed from a jobber. The easiest way to confirm this is to raise the hood and look for a plunger switch that closes when the hood is closed. It is usually a chrome switch close to or on the rad support. If this is there, you have had a jobber install a remote starter. Then you will have to find out the sequence and use it to perform this functiion if you want it. Good luck.
