The far left fringe feasting on their own is, of course, hardly a new phenomenon. There are nearly half a dozen pejoratives reserved for any liberal who would dare to be a guest of "the enemy." Quite ironic when you consider that House Speaker Nancy had no fear of slapping on a do-rag and having a siddown with actual "enemy" Syrian President Bashar al-Assad (as have Republicans), and in light of the current Obama/Clinton dust up over Obama's remarks that he would go "toe to toe with the leaders of rogue nations."

And why not? if Nixon could stare down China, if Reagan could do the same to the Soviets, why should the Dems cower before aggressors?

They shouldn't.

And why should elements of the far left slam Dems who have no fear of li'l ole Fox News?

They should not.

And yet they do, and do so to the detriment of their own party. For the Dems to participate in the circus-like YouTube debate, only to run from the Fox News/Congressional Black Caucus debate is seriously weak. More so when you consider the exodus was largely driven by far left leaning websites.

If the far left wanna monitor and watch and hound the Fox, please by all means. Though I wish they would do the same for the New York Times, which has bumbled through substantially more scandalous reporting in the last ten years. But for Pete's sake, leave fearless Wisconsinites like Feingold alone. Dems like him are at least trying to dig up the mantle of tough guys (and gals) the party misplaced somewhere between the eras of Humphrey and Carter.

The candidates should show a little courage. they are so afraid that the far left will be angry and say mean things that none of them dare appear on FOX News. Cowards.

TV has made the media all-powerful. Yes, very scary! This is why people no longer sit around the kitchen table and talk politics in the presence of their children or with their co-workers. It's all about what Brad Pitt did last night, or Paris showing off her puddy-tat. TV has managed to dumb down American Citizens more than anything else we've seen in the last 100 years. It's more dangerous than alcohol, marijuana or crack. Television has performed a non-invasive frontal lobe severance on a huge cross section of our population, Democrats and Republicans alike. Oh, and my opinion on Sarah Palin: Dumb people don't get to be governor of any state. There's always someone around that is at least moderately intellegent that would tear up a dumb person in a political campaign.

I agree. The Dems should have appeared on the Fox news debate, just like the Reps should all appear on the youtube debate.

They don't see fox news as an enemy. Highly educated people know it isn't a credible news station. That's why they don't go on there:it's actually just a Republican "spin" machine.

The Pew Research Center has proven that Fox news viewers, many more than others, get actually facts wrong way more than viewers of even satirical news programs, like the daily show.

Fox news isn't an enemy to the dems and libs...it's just simply not a credible news station in our eyes.

It's hard to follow this particular rant -- but it sounds like some members of the Democratic party are saying Democratic leaders should go on Fox News... regardless of the fact that most of the other times they have, their mikes get cut off if they say something the host doesn't like.

But that aside -- what's the problem with some members of the Democratic party saying that they are willing to appear on programs that are blatantly biased against them....?
[I'm basing that last statement on personal observation, as well as this quote from the news article you cite: "Obviously, Fox News makes its bank in extreme opinion."]

I don't understand your question, or even which faction of the Democrats you're trying to bash....

I agree. If they (the Democratic Presidential candidates) want to seem like a strong leader to all Americans, they should go on FNC and answer the tough questions. Not like the made-up youtube debate where all the questions were custom made to make the Democrats look good.

The problem with Fox News is that they spread lies to this entire country and when people start believing those lies that is what is scary. Li'l ole Fox News? I did not know you Cons felt that way about it I mean you are always bragging about how it gets the top ratings.

Once George Soro's threatened to take away campaign funds if anyone went on Fox, we got to see the real spine of the Democratic Candidates... also who is really in control.... sad they continue to debate to the choir instead of real debate in front of the people you want to change with your message.

It seems to be the other way around, at least when it comes to Democrats/liberals who use thoughtful, reasoned debate to counter the spin on FNC's commentary. No, Faux News commentators prefers their leftwing strawmen (i.e. Sharpton, Jackson, Colmes, etc.) weak and docile for them to use as political punching bags when trying to prove their talking points.

No one is truly "afraid" of Fox News; it's just no clear-thinking person takes it seriously.
