Drop the guy with the sword. Shouldn't matter about the guy's politics.
However, for asking that silly a question, I might hesitate as he chops your head off, then shoot the terrorist claiming I didn't have a clear shot at the time.

What if the NINJA threat was high and they were coming out of the ceiling and your sister was with you and it was 6:12PM and you were feeling slightly gassy from the cheeseburger you ate 10 minutes ago and you just wanted to take a nap because you over-ate and your favorite country song was playing and you just happened to notice that a mean nasty Muslim was standing there with a sword in his hand and you had your gun - the revolver not the semi-auto - and you were feeling spunky and wanted to kill a terrorist and he looked like a terrorist so he probably was a terrorist so you started pointing your gun at him and he ran behind a pregnant woman and got ready to chop her obviously-liberal head off and you only had one second to decide....WHAT WOULD YOU DO???

How many shots do I have? I'm pretty good with a gun.. so the number of shots I had would decide if I shot the terrorist in the head ... or went for a series of shots that would leave him alive but in pain for the rest of his life in jail.

Shoot! Then aim.. Just kidding. Actually I would be just as quandried by a rightie in the same situation, since everyone's wrong. Don't be a sheep - it's fine to believe in our constitutional right to bear arms, but don't blindly follow doctorine/rightie dogma. There's severe flaws on both sides.

Your question suggests that someone *might* choose not to rescue a person just because they have different political ideals than they do. If that is the attitude that you are going to have, you are no better than the leftists constantly wishing the President would die.
