i've been on both side, a working mom for a while and a stay at home mom, either way i feel like i'm being judged

Who cares what other people think...you gotta do what you gotta do for your family. And if that means work, go to work. If that means stay home, stay home. People judge when they are jealous of what you have and are trying to justify their own current situation.

I think many of them ( especially the ones that have too work) are jealous. Some people also do not feel fulfilled staying at home and feel they are missing out. So let 'em work! By reading your posts - I am confused if you felt women really wanted you to work or not. Of course the bottom line is YOU need to do what is right for your family and the heck with the world. To me your opinion doesn't really matter unless I say it does!

Society does judge women in that way...you have to do what makes you happy and is best for your family. The work of a stay at home mom is unbelievable. Those who judge it have not thought it through enough.

I wish I could be a stay at home mom. My ambition is to be June Cleaver. But, that is apparently no good in our society so I am going to finish college and have a career. I'm don't judge either. Kudos to the stay at home mother.

Everybody gets judged. The reason is because there are a lot of judgmental people out there. Whatever you are like, there is an opposing person that will judge you for it. That's just life, I'm afraid. Ignore them and move on.

because, no matter what you do someone will have a problem with it. And besides who cares? You know if your a good mom, that is all that matters. Usually the people who judge are only trying to justify there own shortcomings

Because people are nosy and judgemental.They should mind their own business!
I have been on both sides too and could care less about what people say about me.
They're not the one who are gonna pay my bills so **** them!

Because outsiders like to try to "clean up some one else's backyard" without even looking at their own messy life. Because people can't mind their own damn business...
