Let's all get PC, first who uses the N word the most? Blacks. It is spelled ***** which was classified as a race of people. The derivative N igger was a lazy person on the land of the Slave Master. Now it is said as ***** or Niggahs to describe fellow brothers or sisters of the ***** race. It is solely a slang term that has lost its original meaning.
I happen to be a white guy who grew up on the East side of Detroit (not the burbs), I know the difference between a n igger, and wigger, blacks and whites.
So if you abolish the word, what will you do with the works of Mark Twain?
I fully agree with MLK, judge a man by the content of his character not by the color of his skin.

A lot of people are "hurt" by many diffferent words in the English language. Doesn't mean there has to be big ole campaigns to abolish certain words. It means that people need to be able to go on living their lives without being emotionally destroyed over a freakin word.

Well, personally I wouldn't care either way. I don't use it and not offended if I hear it. And the only people I hear it from are black people calling other black people by it. What I do care is the banishment of a word will lead to others. Don't like the liberties the government takes with my liberty as it is.

why this word, and not all the other offensive, derrogatory words and terms in this world? If we could possibly succeed at abolishing one, couldn't we just cut out all bad words, racial slurs and crude slang?
If you take away the N word, you're taking away one of the 3 words in rapper's vocab! Whatever will they do??
I don't like to hear it, most definitely, but if you accomplish this, could you bring up possibly leaving God out of cursing as well? GD, JC, etc, etc, etc

you cannot abolish any word simply because that would mean ignoring the right of expression, which would be worse than saying anything. after all, words are small things.

Because they use the word "atheist" as a pejorative adjective, not as a plural noun.

"*****" I have no problem with because it's a description word, correct?
That more notorious "n" word, I'm all for abolishing. It's so derogatory and hurtful.

i hate it. everytime i hear it, even when black people say it, i cringe. but i feel that when people make a big deal out of it it makes it worse, calls more attention. so i choose to not use it and if i ever hear a person that i know say it i ask them not to use it anymore.
