Am I justified in doing the following:

Gloating to everyone I see?
Calling people from law school to gloat?
Going to the top of my apartment building and yelling about how great I am to people walking down below?
Putting out an ad in the paper saying how much I rock?
Legally changing my middle name to "Law Review"?

Congrats.

I would suggest adding it to your resume and that is it.

The only people who know what it means are people who went to law school. And either they also made it and are not impressed just think you are pompous. Or they didn't make it and know you are pompous, arrogant and full of yourself.

Have fun spending the next year, cite checking boring articles and learning the absolute minutia of the "bluebook." I mean who really gives a crap if the period after id is italicized and a comma after a case name ain't.

Actually being on law review or law journal sucks. Hope you have more fun than I did.

Congratulations! And don't let the grades slip second or third year. Resist the urge to say "I have my job offer already."

I kept studying in law school right to the end. Others did not. I ended up with honors that are still on my resume decades later. They open doors, and put money in my pocket.

No brag, just fact.

Hard work is at least as important as basic intelligence. So celebrate for a day or two and then GET BACK TO WORK!!!

I sound like an old man, but I have to say it: make the most of these years, son. You'll be thankful later.

Also, keep a contact list, and keep in touch with classmates. You may be in a position to help each other out over the years.

Continued success to you, and good luck!

:)

Congratulations. And "no" to your questions. I made law review too but turned it down. I graduated from the top of my class and have been a trial lawyer for 33 years. My opinion of law review is that it is good but it gives too many people a big head.
