not me. i think the beatles were great. im obviously not going to get best answer for this since you already said they were overrated, but they were phenomenal.
the beatles changed music forever. as did the beach boys with "pet sounds" at about the same time. sure, there were tons of great bands around, but none who explored music like the beatles and the beach boys did. "sgt pepper", and "abbey road" (especially the first side, which was all mcartney) was new and fresh and amazing at the time. "pet sounds" by the beach boys was amazing as well. lot of cool riffing going on at the time "kinks, who, even sabbath and zeppelin close by), but nobody really changed music like the beatles did.
they were great.

I guess to each his own as far as music is concerned. The Beatles had many number one hits and top selling albums and changed the music scene in America drastically which are just basic facts. They also played many different styles of music which can't be said of too many musicians out there today. It really can't be said that they are overrated when their record speaks for itself now can it? You have to produce facts that they are overrated which you can't! If you don't like them, fine, just say so.
