i was in Germany and i am told my mother cried and cried that she never saw him in concert...oh, and i was only 3 months old!

in Germany, too, probably in my baby bed, I was less than 4 months old.

I feel SO old (you were 3 months old??) I think I was about 16...I was in my bedroom, and I had the radio on and this breaking news story came out- and the D.J. said that Elvis had *left the building*, so to speak. I wasn't into Elvis...I was sad for him though. One of my friends at the time, her mother had this HUGE poster of Elvis in their garage. She didn't take it well.

I was working at Ernest Tubb Record Store in Nashville, TN and by the end of the day there wasn't one item left associated with Elvis. Japanese tourist bought up the bulk of it. What a day!

Actually, I was in nursing school the day ol' Elvis the Pelvis done kicked the bucket. I'd spent ten years in the US Army and was completing my education on the GI Bill. His loss made me more determined to spread the word about the dangers of drug abuse.
