It would run ok- there's plenty of processor power but the video is kinda weak. Keep in mind that Nvidia's 8000 series cards aren't anything special below the 8800. The 8600 is a solid but unspectacular performer (slightly slower than the 7900), while the 8500 and 8400- ehhhh.

Still, it's a lot better than the HP machines Best Buy is selling with the crappy integrated 6150le graphics.

You could get a better gaming machine for that price if you were building a generic unit from scratch... The GPU is more important than the CPU, so you'd start with at least an 8600GT or Radeon X1950 and then see how much processor power you could squeeze into it.

Damn are you planning on buying that? if so Well so got a full fledged game machine flight simulator will run smoothly, clean graphics and the memory is outta here; it also suitable for a game like NFS carbon. My advice GET IT BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
