It depends on what kind of pain you are talking about. I get migraines as well as cramps when I am menstruating.

It is possible, if you are having severe headaches that it might work. However, since I also get migraines when not menstruating I find that I can not use Excedrin when menstruating. I have no idea why it doesn't work, it just doesn't.

Alieve is the best thing I have found to relieve severe cramps. But it is not something always on hand.

So I have found that the easiest fix is to use paracetamol (tylenol, for Americans) and ibuprofen together. The paracetamol kills most of the pain and the ibuprofen relieves some of the cramps. This does not always get rid of the pain 100% as Alieve will, but it at least relieves the pain enough for you to be able to think again.

I hope this helps.

I actually just got Excedrin: Menstrual Complete yesterday for cramps as well as bloating and it's worked WONDERS! No Cramps today, and lost 5 pounds of water weight! Excedrin Extra Strength seems to relieve cramping, too, but not bloating.

You're better off using a NSAID, like ibuprofen. Aspirin can thin the blood and increase bleeding. NSAIDs don't do that, and can even decrease bleeding by inhibiting prostaglandins.

no, that's a headache medicine. Vicoden works best for massive cramps but if you cant get those then use Naproxin or Advil.

I don't know about wonders. Sounds like overkill as it has both aspirin and ibuprofen in it. Just ibuprofen would be fine.
