it's not making fun, it's a legitimate question! for example, when you're driving and you almost get hit by a big truck, what do you say? is that a better example?

Well, I heard that the first is most common. When I was hit by a car, that was close to my exclamation… except there was an OH! First, not holy.

However… I don't know if it was shock, but twice I had experiences where it seemed I wasn't in my body. Once was like hovering above after I jumped from a train as a teen. Probably shock because of the injury. It lasted only a moment. Then things shifted back to normal.

The other was giving birth. As things grew intensely serious, I remember screaming for God to help me. At that moment, I heard a voice or a thought that simply said, “Well! People really Do call for God when in extreme pain!” like some unemotional bystander making an emotionless observation. What was that? Me? It felt like someone else. But if we are part of God, then perhaps it was the part of me unaffected by the dangerous circumstances taking place.

I watched a movie where these men went mountain climbing. All these horrific things happened which made it very hard to watch. But I happen to like survival stories, so I watched a movie that haunts me. I won't go into the details, but at one point he said he had always wondered if he would call on God if needed, if somewhere deep there was a belief he was unaware of. But throughout his ordeal, he never even considered it.

By the end, he was reduced to something pathetic and tears. It was really awful. I often wondered about the fact that he never even gave God a chance to disappoint or save him. What would have happened if he had prayed? I have seen miracles. It's sad he didn't even TRY for one. Instead, he suffered horribly and almost died. Not something I'd watch twice! There was no hope or inspiration… just the knot in my stomach, sadness, and a feeling of near futility. Personally, I'd call on God!

When something happens fast, we haven't time to think, so who knows what we'll say? But if we do have time, it's a shame not to gave God a chance. It seems silly to say, “Aw, you wouldn't help me anyway because your not even there!” rather than, “God, are you there? Can/will you help me?”

you will possibly desire to back up a tad. we don't possibly be conscious of too lots concerning the Bible, and for specific, have no of the unique writings. The OT became a selection of of myths and thoughts, ultimately written down by utilising over 40 writers, over a era of 4000 years. a lot of those thoughts have been taken from different cultures, and observed into the human beings lore of the OT. Google Epic of Gilgamesh. And what became used as one be conscious 3000 years in the past, wasn't used the comparable way 2000 years in the past. What English became in the 1500's isn't what we use, now in basic terms 500 years later. by some ability, it somewhat is often lost of biblical readers without coaching in Biblical historic past. So, what God could have suggested, is on no account what we've. those are long lost no you may use any biblical connection with help or deny something, using fact the bible we've immediately, isn't the Bible that once became. See the project? in short, we don't be conscious of what God's words even have been....we have no of the originals... in basic terms copies of copies of copies, and that all of them selection, when you consider that they have been all copied from countless copies of a era of hundreds of years. And in basic terms when you consider which you will possibly desire to choose for it have been diverse, sorry. those ARE the information...take ANY college, college or grad type in Bible historic past. examine something by utilising any previous testomony peer reviewed pupil.... all of them say the comparable concern.

I'd say.

What's up with Rebel construction? This is the 5th bridge that's gone in the past week. But the one on Jabiim couldn't be helped. General Veers accidentally stepped on it with his AT-AT. Oh yeah and then there was an acid rain that really finished it off. And then the shield generator on Hoth we had to blow that up so we could get into the Rebel base.
