Your height is probably going to be an issue, and may prevent you playing 'at the next level' at all, especially at any major Division IA school. I'd recommend studying the Fullback position on offense, maybe asking your coach to help you learn that position, get some playing time in, put together a good highlight tape, and don't expect a football scholarship: keep your grades up instead.

You're probably too small to play on the line at the next level. It might be smart to think about moving to LB. Hopefully you can improve your speed a bit, but there are some great college LBs who run around a 4.8 or 4.9 too. Your size and speed would probably work best at LB.

Not to be mean, but I don't think playing at the next level is gonna happen for you. You're pretty short even for a CB, you have SS weight (based on your height it will be tough to add 10 quality pounds to survive at LB), and you have a good OL 40 time. Your best bet would be to somehow get a lot faster and become a defensive back. Get that 40 down to 4.4-4.55.

Play Fullback.
Put on some weight, drop your 40 time a couple ticks, and WORK ON YOUR BLOCKING!!! It would also be nice if you could consistently catch swing passes out of the backfield.
Ideally, I'd like to see you reach these goals:
4.7 in the 40
225 lbs
Dependable Pass-Catcher
Ferocious Blocker!!!
Then put together a tape, focusing on your blocking, pass catching, and the occasional carry, and send it to schools that you think might be interested in you. Good luck!

Depending on what defense the team runs depends on your position. If they run a 4 lineman 3 backer set you may want to play defensive end. If they play 3 lineman 4 backers you may want to play nose guard.

For your size a 4.9 is pretty good.Your height might work against you however. I would say a Db looking for passes over the middle...and stuffing the run.

it depends what kind of defense the team runs. if the defense switches between two and three backers, you might want to be nose, because with that time you might not be too bad at pass coverage, and nose would be a good position for your size. but defensive end might be good too, you need a little bit of speed there.

whoever said be a DE is smoking crack...you are way too small for that position, you need to be tall to bat balls down. Maybe linebacker, but you need to get faster...4.9 isnt that great to go from sideline to sideline.
