I have felt that lots of times, especially around social gatherings - I often feel like an outsider as if I'm not part of the 'inner circle'.

Yes all the time, I am too involved in thought to look at the world around me in a bigger kind of way. Also we tend to loom large in our own little universe and in so being I am too self conscious to do the wild thing with many others.

Yes, when I hang out with my 2 friends because they see each other more often than I see them, so they are always talking about things I have no clue about. I don't say anything, because its like high school drama and we're all 22 years old now.

Just with some of my family members - i.e. cousins, etc.
I am an only and they have sibs - sometimes it feels like they plan family things and I am an afterthought (or a "not at all thought").
