I am 15 years old turning 16 in late August.
What types of Bank account are available for me?
I have two payroll checks that I need to deposit.
Is a checking account an option?
Will I have a debit card?

you will have to have a person over the age of 18 on a checking account with you, but yes you can have one. be careful with a debit card, it's really easy to lose track of your spending with one of those and overdraft fees are expensive!

if you want savings and checking, you can set it up with your bank for them to take a certain percentage out of every paycheck you deposit into your checking account and put it straight into your savings. this way you don't even have to think about it, it's done for you.

You will probably need someone who is at least 18 or 21 to help sign you up, or co-sign for the account. You'll need a responsible adult who can pay any encountered fines for bounced checks, maintenance fees, etc. Check with a few local banks and see who has the best plans for your age group. I don't know whether or not anyone under 18 can write checks.

You probably need to have a joint account with a parent. Depends on the bank's policies. Just call or go in and ask the local bank. Savings accounts earn higher interest...so I recommend them for your savings.

if u're thinking about just having an acct to hold ur money..get a checking acct..yes u do get a bank/debit card..if u're looking to also save some money...a savings acct is a good idea bc u'll have to have a minimum balance on it..this'll stop u from spending too much

once you cross the age of 16 you are eligible to have aaccount{savings} with the debit card but under the supervision of your parents. you may get all the facilities available in the accoun but on the sole descrision of the parents.
